Our Approach to Cancer

Cancer is a multifactorial condition, rarely ever caused by one thing. At Mitogenesis, our holistic approach to cancer care is defined by a spectrum of therapies meticulously designed to address the multifaceted nature of this condition. Each therapy plays a vital role in our comprehensive strategy, synergistically working towards a singular goal - your well-being. At Mitogenesis, we believe in a comprehensive approach to cancer treatment. Our therapies comprise three pivotal aspects:
Repairing the Biological Terrain
Dr. Thomas Rau, the founder of Swiss Biological Medicine, explains that cancer can often stem from an imbalance in the body’s environment— a disruption of its biological terrain — damaging mitochondria. Exposures to various environmental toxins/heavy metals/chemicals can result in an imbalance in the overall microbial population of the body. Cells and the interstitial fluids surrounding them, when burdened by too many toxins or waste products produced from normal metabolic reactions, result in acidic, hypoxic, and inflammatory conditions that promote destructive processes in the body. This can result in mitochondrial damage and dysfunction, setting the stage for disease processes such as cancer. Cancer thrives in environments with microbial imbalance, increase acidity, chronic viral infections, nutrient deficiency, toxic chemical/metal exposure and other disrupters.  For this reason, we focus on rebalancing your body's internal ecosystem, making it inhospitable to cancer cells. This involves meticulously assessing factors like pH levels, nutrient status, and overall cellular health.
Rectifying Metabolic Dysfunction
Mitochondrial dysfunction or damage present in cancer cells affect their metabolic function. Dr. Thomas Seyfried explains that unlike healthy cells which utilize sugar or fat in the presence of oxygen to produce energy, cancer cells rely on glucose fermentation — an inefficient means of producing energy. He explains that by targeting this metabolic vulnerability, by restricting glucose, one can starve cancer cells of their energy source — glucose. At Mitogenesis, target this metabolic vulnerability, thereby targeting cancer cells.
Enhancing Immunity
With cancer, the immune system can no longer recognize these cells are harmful and foreign, enabling them to grow uncontrolled.  For this reason, it is essential to support the immune so it can start recognizing cancer cells, targeting for destruction.
